Yes, thanks to the new CPSIA law, effective Feb. 10, 2009, the cost of this hat in baby and child sizes will need to jump from $18 to $3,798. But what the heck! I'll throw in free shipping! ADULT SIZE WILL STILL BE $18, BUT YOU GET TO PAY THE SHIPPING! :OD

CPSIA will require that each store selling products for children under the age of 12 test each product in our shops for lead. Each component will cost $70 - that's EACH COLOR of EACH MATERIAL that I use to create these items. This hat alone has 4 colors of yarn, 2 colors of felt, 2 colors of thread, and 1 ribbon, for a total of $630 for the lead testing alone.

But wait - we also need to add in the additional $350 per component for phthalates testing which adds another $3,150.
If you add the $18 that I originally charge, the grand total to buy this one little hat = $3,798.

My little niece!

Here are a couple of my favorite images on Mike and Meredith's new baby girl, Sybil Ann. I was able to visit them in Texas at Thanksgiving and get a few images of her. We would have gotten some of her with Graham and Mike if they hadn't of gone to sleep!! lol

Halloween

Chris and I went to a Halloween party this evening (i guess since I'm posting at 1am, it was last night, lol) We had a great time and met some really fun people! It was a costume party so I had to do a LOT of proding to get Chris to dress up. Being the crazy fool that he is, he decided at the last minute that he didn't want to go as the Reaper in the costume that we bought, so we made a quick trip to the costume store and bought a wig. He wore his work uniform and the wig and went as our boss, Clayton. Everyone loved it! Even Clayton...at least until Monday when Chris either gets fired or gets all the grunt work! haha

I found some wings at the costume store and a wig and decided to go as an Angel from the Bayou. Got lots of compliments on my costume. Thought I looked pretty cool myself, lol.

After the party, we went by the studio and we took some photos of us in our costumes. I may never get Chris to do this again, so I had to document the event!!!

Holiday Mini Sessions

As each year passes, it becomes harder to find gifts that will really mean something to the other person. Electronics, jewelry, clothes, etc... I'm happy to announce that Mini sessions are now available for your Holiday gift giving and Christmas cards! Instead of asking for a small session fee for the mini sessions, we are asking that you bring a bag of canned goods that will be donated to a local pantry to help feed families in need this season. A $50 deposit will be required in order to book and hold your session date. This deposit will be applied to your package of choice.

Spend $250 and receive a 5x5 soft cover brag book
Spend $350 and receive a 5x5 soft cover brag book and two more 5x10 storyboards
Spend $450 and receive a 5x5 soft cover brag book; two 5x10 storyboards and all digital files from your session!

Session Details:
All sessions will last approximately 20-30 minutes.
Sessions will be held at the studio located at 2400 Cypress St, Suite 24 in West Monroe, LA.
Sessions are for up to 5 people. $10 per person after that.

Proofs:
You will receive an online password protected gallery, available for viewing your proofs.
You will be shown 10-12 images in your gallery.
Gallery will be available for 5 days, at which time orders must be placed.

The Holiday Cards:
Holiday cards are 5x7 flat cards printed on both sides and include envelopes. Only sold in sets of 24.
Templates for the cards will be included in your gallery.

The Prints:
Once a package is purchased, additional prints are available a la carte for 50% off.
The 5x10 storyboard will be mounted to art board and include a small black easel. These make excellent gifts for the home or office.

In order to ensure that you receive your packages before the Holidays, these sessions are only available during November and no orders will be placed after December the 5th.

I decided to have a Christmas in July sale! From now until July 31, 2008, if you book a session and pay your $100 session fee, you will receive $200 in prints from your session! Your session does not have to be held in July. Sessions can be booked anytime from now until December 1, 2008. Perfect for Christmas card sessions, gifts, etc. You can even purchase a gift certificate for someone!
